Why is it crucial to address overweight and obesity?

Being overweight comes with significant health risks, including an increased likelihood of developing or worsening conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attacks, heart disease, joint problems like arthritis in hips, knees, feet, and back, sleep apnea, and even the potential for sudden death.

Several different medications and/or supplement options are available to assist in your weight loss journey. Some of the most popular options are appetite suppressants, combination therapies, and glucagon like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist injections.

Mostly recently, semaglutide, an FDA-approved injectable medication, is revolutionizing weight management. By targeting appetite control centers in the brain, it mimics the GLP-1 hormone, reducing ghrelin and increasing leptin production to create a feeling of fullness, leading to reduced calorie intake and weight loss. This innovative treatment is suitable for individuals with a BMI of 30 or higher or a BMI of 27 of higher with weight-related medical conditions like Type 2 diabetes or hypertension. Results are typically noticeable within the first few months, especially when paired with a healthy diet and exercise. Moreover, semaglutide administered and monitored by Harmony Health & Wellness providers, offers a game-changing solution for those struggling with insulin resistance-related weight loss. It transforms how your body metabolizes food, making it a valuable long-term option for weight management.

What makes our semaglutide treatment superior?

Our semaglutide dose is customizable and is combined with L-Carnitine. L-Carnitine is a naturally occurring amino acid compound that plays a role in energy production within the body, particularly in the transportation of fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they are metabolized for energy. Some weight loss benefits of L-Carnitine include:

  • Enhanced fat metabolism

  • Increased exercise performance

  • Reduced fatigue

  • Appetite control

  • Blood sugar regulation

  • Lean muscle preservation
